We signed up with this company three years ago. Seemed like a good deal and the resort pictures we were shown looked very nice. To date we have booked three vacations. The first place we booked was in Hilton Head . The place was filthy and run down. We had to find another condo. Since then we have booked two others and they have been in similar condition. Yet to find a so called "Resort" that TAN marketed to us. The only positive is the support staff have been helpful in resolving most of the issues;however, there should not have been a need to invoke their assistance had the places we booked looked like those shown during the marketing presentation

My husband and I signed up for TAN Travel Advantage Network a year ago. We went to a sales pitch and at first were 100% against it, but after an hour or two we gave in. It seemed great! When we went to book our first vacation everything that we would stay in was booked and this is six months in advance. We did stay at a resort in Mexico (don't do it) and it was so gross. We called TAN and they didn't help us at all and told us we were in a different country. We tried to get out of this several times but cant. DONT DO IT!!

I signed up to TAN about 7 years ago....although I paid off my membership fees, Im still stuck paying the annual fee of approx $300......why, because I could never find a resort Im interested in relaxing at during "non-peak" season..meaning, I have to pay an addtl $100-$300 in addition to the registration fees....after paying almost $4000 for these weeks, I do not want to pay more....I really enjoyed the resorts I've visited but am very disappointed in the availability of resorts at no addtl cost to me (no cost other than the regualr $89 I mean).

I went through the pitch session to buy the vacation packages recently, and it's my opinion taht Killer Invester -The individual that made the note on 20-05-2009 is probably an in fact an employee of Smart Travel A.K.A. Travel Advantage Network. In fact the information described as if from an actual customer is taken from the scripted sales pitch during the first half of the first hour of 2 to 2.5 hours that you will be exposed to when visiting Smart Travel. Though stating that you actually received the $1000 because the room wasn't clean is taking things a bit far. Why? because in the pitch to sell the vacation packages, the representatives sometimes boast that TAN does such a great job that very few have ever been issued. Were you one of the lucky few? I think not!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! I encourage anyone who reads this not to sign up for anything with this company. What you are shown at the presentation is not even comparable to the actual property you are going to stay in. FILTHY!!!!

To those out there that don't know much into the marketing world, Smart Travel A.K.A. Travel Advantage Network isn't really a scam at all. I have stayed at several resorts and find that they are really nice condoes. I have only came acrossed one that was a not fully cleaned but do to the fact that a couple just left the day we arrived. Tan gave me as promise do to unsatisfactory a $1,000 Savings bond!!! Tan Stands behind there Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed. Plus with the Excessive inventory you really have to know how to sell those vacation packages. You can't beat a Hawaii Vacation to stay in an Ocean front Condo plus a Discounted flight, plus dischount helicoptor tour over a Volcano.... Plus it's a proven fact that Vacations can help relieve stress and make you a healthy person by relaxing on a beach or on a cruise. Plus for having unlimited Vacations for a lifetime!!!!! The average American has at least minimal 1 week vacation. They could easily plan a trip to canada, or even out of the country for a very low price then what you would pay anywhere else. Especially when you compare hotel prices to this deal and stay in a condo instead of a two bed hotel with one room and a bathroom. With TAN you get all the amenities that you would have at home. A full size kitchen that you can cook in " Saves eating out while on vacation." A Living room plus two seperated bedrooms. Very great for gifts to the family as well... you just have to think of all the possabilities and things that you can advance from this... Killer Invester 8)

Hi! I signed up for a TAN vacation package in April. Unfortunately, you tend to sign up for these things under pressure and don't realize all the negatives until it's too late. I am not eligible to sign up for a week vacation yet but have book an excess inventory vacation for August. I'll post info on it upon my return but curious as to what vacations you chose and what I should avoid.
